About Me

I am an experienced storyteller, technologist, strategist, innovator, and collaborator. My journey as a storyteller began when I picked up my first camera at age seven. From creating short films in my backyard, to working at Cannes Lions production company, my diverse experience encompasses the entire production process. I have hands-on experience in idea generation, development, pre-production, filming, post-production, strategy and marketing.

I thrive in challenging situations, illuminating the unknown, and am motivated by finding new and innovative solutions. Challenging situations present the ultimate opportunity to develop creative results. My desire to create compelling digital content led me to emerging technologies, such as virtual reality, drones, and advanced analytics. I learn from new experiences and apply a unique strategy to each project. I’ve used these skills and technologies to help launch a successful production organization, 5th Medium, which has worked with best-selling artists and premium brands including The Chainsmokers and SU Athletics.

Background: 5th Medium was just launching and we needed a way to propel our brand as the premiere experience production group on campus.

Concept: Partner with SU Alumni and global superstars, The Chainsmokers, to create an unforgettable concert experience.

Outcome: The Chainsmokers loved the video and uploaded it their official YouTube account where it currently has over 100K views.

Background: SU Football attendance is at all time low while SU Basketball attendance remains high. SU Fans don’t believe the experience of going to a Football game is worthwhile.

Concept: Partner with SU Athletics to highlight the SU Fan Experience by showing fans the excitement of attending a Syracuse Football game.

Outcome: Syracuse finished the season with crowds reported to be at an all-time high.

Background: How do we market Here Be Dragons presence at VRLA and ensure that HBD stands out amongst the competition?

Concept: Distinguish Here Be Dragons from the competition by highlighting the talent, brand, namesake and star power associated with its content.

Outcome: Here Be Dragons was one of the most popular booths at VRLA and was able to form key partnerships because of the event.

Background: How can Steiner Sports showcase its massive sports memorabilia collection and engage with customers?

Concept: Partner with Steiner Sports to showcase warehouse highlighting key pieces of memorabilia and the different products Steiner Sports offers.

Outcome: Invited to complete Phase 2 Deliverable of Interactive Tour.


Immersion Center

Background: How can brands stand out as audiences become increasingly more fragmented?

Concept: Create an “Immersion Center” with experiences that engage users five senses and create an experience unlike anything seen before. Leverage brand IP with emerging technology to monetize content and connect with audiences.

Outcome: Received an A on the paper and later pitched the idea to several high-level industry executives.

Background: Drive brand awareness and engagement for Steve’s Ice Cream with headline-making ideas, speaking to audience desires for variety, novelty and unique experiences.

Concept: Three-part activation built on Steve’s Ice Creams mission to “Crave the Unexpected.”

Outcome: Invited to pitch to VP Digital Experiences at Premier Experience Studio.

Marketing

I strive to create content of the highest artistic quality which also resonates with everyday people. I have gained a comprehensive knowledge of marketing through managing a variety of campaigns, including organizing Here Be Dragons’ presence, strategy, and brand at VRLA. I’ve also facilitated numerous discussions with fellow marketing professionals on how emerging technology can be integrated into marketing plans. I’ve used my analytics skills to create compelling content for a targeted audience and know how to track a campaign.

Production

I started my production career as a cameraman with my college campus’ news station, CitrusTV, at Syracuse University. I fell in love with the fast-paced, always-changing newsroom environment. After learning the business and proving my skills, I rose to the rank of Technical Director. From there, I had the opportunity to work with some of the most well-known and award-winning production companies including SMUGGLER and Here Be Dragons (aka Within). My passion for emerging technology led me to co-found 5th Medium, one of the country’s first student-led VR Production organizations.

Analytics

My constant desire to improve led me to analytics. Analytics is the basis for good decision-making and leads to unlocking advanced opportunities. I specialize in data visualization and use analytics to drive strategy, support the creative process, and enhance a story. My analytics capabilities include defining measurement strategies, identifying KPIs/KRIs and which metrics are important to the overall strategy. I have also created an analytics framework which includes—but is not limited to—data governance, measurement, and documentation standards. I love supplementing my stories with data visualizations.
